Many of these parks offer a variety of activities, including swimming, boating, hiking, camping, playgrounds, biking, horseback riding, fishing, tennis courts, playing fields, golfing, and hunting.  There are science and nature centers in some of the parks, such as Caleb Smith State Park, which schools frequent for field trips.
